QUEM SOMOS

Somos uma para-instituição preocupada com a autenticidade cultural, patrimonial e ambiental da Chapada Diamantina. Através de atividades culturais, intercâmbios e educação ambiental, incentivamos a conscientização sobre a importância da biodiversidade, da preservação e recuperação dos biomas locais e de salvaguardar o patrimônio arquitetônico e imaterial da região.

ABOUT US

We are a para-institution dedicated to the cultural and environmental authenticity and heritage of the Chapada Diamantina. Through cultural activities, exchange programs, and environmental education, we promote awareness regarding the importance of biodiversity, the preservation and recovery of local biomes, and the safeguarding of the region’s architectural and intangible heritage.

NOSSA MISSÃO

Frente ao passado de degradação ambiental do garimpo, criar ferramentas teórico-práticas para um desenvolvimento ecológico socialmente justo da Chapada Diamantina. Nossa missão é preservar a riqueza ambiental e cultural da região e desenvolver seu potencial de plataforma para projetos-modelo de sustentabilidade em habitar, produzir e consumir.

OUR MISSION

Given the history of environmental degradation caused by mining, it is necessary to create theoretical and practical tools for socially just ecological development in the Chapada Diamantina. Our mission is to preserve the region’s environmental and cultural abundance and to develop its potential as a platform for sustainability model projects in living, producing, and consuming.

NOSSOS OBJETIVOS

Defender os sistemas naturais, promovendo a conscientização ambiental e a prática de preservação dos biomas da Chapada Diamantina;
Trabalhar por políticas públicas de preservação e regeneração ambiental;
Incentivar o desenvolvimento ecológico socialmente justo;
Zelar pela preservação e acesso ao patrimônio imaterial da região;
Fomentar a internacionalização da região através de intercâmbios culturais como residências artísticas interdisciplinares, com o objetivo de promover pesquisas, diálogos, intervenções e mobilidade na região;
Assessorar pesquisadores interdisciplinares na condução e desenvolvimento de suas pesquisas na região da Chapada;
Promover o trabalho de artistas locais.

OUR GOALS

Defend natural systems by promoting environmental awareness and preservation of biomes of the Chapada Diamantina;
Work toward public policies of environmental preservation and regeneration;
Encourage socially just ecological development;
Uphold preservation of and access to the region’s intangible heritage;
Foster the internationalization of the region through interdisciplinary artistic residencies, with the aim of promoting research, dialogue, intervention, and mobility within the region;
Provide guidance to interdisciplinary researchers as they develop and conduct research in the region of the Chapada Diamantina;
Promote the work of local artists.
