Ana Barbara is an urban planner and landscape architect. Her work explores the relationships between nature and culture and their impact on how we inhabit. Her artistic language is expressed through oil paintings, watercolors, and drawings, ranging from reflections on daily life in notebooks to paintings. She is currently focused on creating narratives and giving meaning to the landscape, participating in the construction of the collective imagination of place as a way to foster connections and affections. She seeks to expand the role of the architect, not as someone who draws in order to design projects, but sees drawing as the project itself—without necessarily aiming to solve problems, but rather as a way of reflecting on and connecting with the landscape.
