The main focus of Nadira Yanez’s research is the investigation of notions of the body (not necessarily human, but also material) as a porous and malleable structure that exists “in relation” and not as a closed organism. Through sculptural objects and paintings, she seeks to create fields of defragmentation between the human and non-human/interior and exterior. By creating new fictional skins that solidify into objects, she seeks paths for insurrection of the body and dilution of fixed structures. She holds a degree in Design and has participated in the group exhibitions Futuro do Presente, Presente do Futuro (an online platform managed by the Jornalistas Livres collective from São Paulo), Toró (Condô Cultural, São Paulo), and Cama de Gato (Edifício Vera, São Paulo).
