Nina Pinheiro was born in Minas Gerais, and she currently resides in Ibicoara, Chapada Diamantina, Bahia, where she develops activities as a visual artist, ceramist, and educator at Espaço de Criação Corpo de Terra. She carries out artistic experiments based on connections with geology, history, and biocultural memory, making use of clays and pigments collected in the Serra do Sincorá. She researches ancestral ceramic techniques developed by Indigenous peoples during processes of civilization, with a special interest in archeology.
