Júlia Moreno Villaça é arquiteta, graduada pela Escola da Cidade em 2021 e aluna do curso de Mestrado MA Situated Practice na Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL. Após colaborar em diferentes escritórios de áreas distintas da arquitetura, decide se dedicar a uma arquitetura menos voltada para o real e o construído e investigar o espaço como palavra, conceito e objeto. Atualmente procura se estabelecer como arquiteta-artista, tendo como foco as manifestações espaciais da arte (instalações, projetos site-specific e projetos especulativos). Na residência no Mirante Xique-Xique deu início ao extenso projeto de pesquisa que procura entender como as paisagens naturais e geológicas brasileiras são responsáveis pela construção do conceito de espaço dos seus habitantes, e como esse entendimento se manifesta em cada uma das culturas locais.

Júlia Moreno Villaçais an architect. She graduated from Escola da Cidade in 2021, and she is a student in the Situated Practice MA Master’s Course at the Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London. After collaborating with different studios in diverse areas of architecture, she decided to dedicate herself to an architecture that is less focused on the real and the constructed and to investigate space as a word, concept, and object. She is currently seeking to establish herself as an artist-architect, focusing on the spatial manifestations of art (installations, site-specific projects, and speculative projects). During her residency at Mirante Xique-Xique, she began an extensive research project that seeks to understand how Brazilian natural and geological landscapes are responsible for constructing the concept of their inhabitants’ space and how this understanding is manifested in each of the local cultures.
