Breno Rotatori trabalha com fotografia e vídeo, tendo desenvolvido em sua prática artística uma profunda relação com o silêncio, as pausas e os ciclos da terra, numa tentativa de compreender formas distintas de se relacionar com o outro e com a natureza. Em constante investigação pelo universo das linguagens audiovisuais, Rotatori tem entrelaçado seu trabalho com experiências de vida que atravessou – como nos sete anos em que morou numa comunidade em Minas Gerais, de 2013 a 2020. Nesse período, em que esteve mais voltado a uma vida próxima da natureza e distante do urbano, Rotatori continuou com os registros fotográficos. Partiu em busca de expressar, desse período em diante, a possibilidade de manifestações do sutil, que se encontram além da imagem propriamente dita, extrapolando sua dimensão material. Afinal, para Rotatori, toda forma tem sua contraparte interna, a ser vislumbrada no não dito da imagem. Nos últimos nove anos, Rotatori participou de diversas exposições, realizadas em espaços como Fotografiemusiem Amsterdam, Maison Européenne de la Photographie, Les Rencontres d’Arles e Centro Cultural São Paulo. Entre as publicações que já integrou, destacam-se: Talent FOAM Magazine, Talent Issue British Journal Photography, Sueño de la Razón e Urbanautica Annual Awards. Sua produção forma parte de alguns acervos em entidades brasileiras, tais quais o Museu de Arte Moderna de São Paulo (MAM – SP), Museu de Arte Contemporânea do Rio Grande do Sul (MACRS) e Itaú Cultural São Paulo.

Breno Rotatori works with photography and video, having developed in his artistic practice a deep relationship with silence, pauses and the cycles of the earth, in an attempt to understand different ways of relating to each other and to nature. In constant investigation through the universe of audiovisual languages, Rotatori has intertwined his work with life experiences he went through ― such as the six years he lived in a community in the state of Minas Gerais, from 2014 to 2020.
In those years, outlooking a life close to nature and far from the urban, Rotatori carried on with with photographic records. From that period onwards he set out to express the possibility of embodying the subtle, beyond the image itself, extrapolating the picture’s material dimension. After all, for Rotatori, every form has its own internal counterpart to be glimpsed at through what is unsaid by the the image.
In the last nine years, Rotatori has taken part in several exhibitions, held in venues such as the Amsterdam Fotografiemusiem, Maison Européenne de la Photographie, Les Rencontres d’Arles, PHoto España and Centro Cultural São Paulo. He has been featured in publications as Talent Foam Magazine, Talent Issue British Journal Photography and Festa – Sueño de la Razón. His production can be found in the collections of Brazilian institutions such as the São Paulo Museum of Modern Art (MAM-SP), the Museum of Contemporary Art of Rio Grande do Sul (MAC-RS) and Itaú Cultural.
